Making Something Every Day

MUSIC HIP-HOP. Since April 2024

Started with zero knowledge, learned by doing, and haven't stopped since. I make something in Ableton every single day — not always great, but it fuels my spirit in a way I didn't expect. This page is the full story.

April 2024. Ableton was sitting on my machine and I had no idea where to start. A friend tried to teach me dubstep — it just didn't click. The software felt overwhelming in a way that made me want to close it every time I opened it.

Then my cousin found out I had it. He'd already been messing around with Ableton on his own, and we're both deep into hip-hop — so when we started talking about it, something finally clicked. The genre matched the way I think about sound. We decided to make an EP together and that energy completely lit me up.

"I even made the cover art. That's when I knew — this wasn't just a phase."

Ever since that moment, I make something every single day. Not always great. Not always finished. But I sit down, open Ableton, and make something. Some days it's a full beat. Some days it's just a loop that goes nowhere. But it fuels my spirit in a way nothing else quite does.

Sometimes my friends actually vibe with it — which still catches me off guard every time. The thing that sticks with me most is how simple it was to get started once the right person was in the room. I wish I had started sooner. But I'm here now, and I'm not stopping.

Demo EP · Collaboration with Bojangles

The project that started it all — a demo EP made with my cousin Bojangles. This is where hip-hop finally clicked for me. Heads up: explicit language throughout. Take a listen if that's your thing.

The Craft.
Every Day.

I'm past the "figuring it out" stage and into the grind of actually getting better. Every session teaches me something — about sound design, about structure, about what makes a beat hit the way it's supposed to. Hip-hop is the genre, but the goal is bigger than that: I want to make music that sounds like it came from somewhere real.

From hip-hop to dubstep.

The plan from here is to push into dubstep — different energy, heavier sound design, a whole new set of problems to solve. The goal is to link up and collaborate with Nonverbal, who's been deep in that world. New direction, same daily grind.

Made With Intention.

No pressure, no agenda — just something made with intention. If you vibe with it, drop a comment. It genuinely makes my day. More goes up on SoundCloud regularly.

Spectral Spaceships

A space-themed single made with Bojangles — mixed to v4 before I let it go. The most finished thing here.
