Starting Things Late — And Why I'm Done Apologizing for It
I started making music when most producers already had years on me. I started this site when a lot of people my age had moved on from the idea. Here's how I made peace with that.

There's a story we all get told: if you didn't start young, you missed the window. I started producing in 2024. By that math, I'm "behind." For a while that genuinely bothered me.
The Math Is Fake
Here's what I figured out: the timeline is invented. Nobody hears a beat and asks how old you were when you started. They hear whether it hits. The only thing being early actually buys you is more reps — and you can stack reps starting today. I wish I had started sooner is true, but it's also useless. I'm here now, and I'm not stopping.
"Late is just a story other people tell about your timeline. The work doesn't care when you showed up."
What Starting Late Actually Gives You
There's an upside nobody mentions: you arrive with taste already formed. I know what I like, I know what moves me, and I'm not wasting years figuring out my voice — I'm pointing it at the craft. So I'm done apologizing for the start date. Play. Laugh. Repeat. The only deadline is the one you keep.
